Caves des Vignerons Wellenstein

Green Practice

Domaines Vinsmoselle applies core sustainability methods such as reduced pesticide use through integrated pest management, natural grass cover to prevent erosion, and energy-efficient winemaking processes. They prioritize local production to lower carbon emissions and promote biodiversity in their vineyards. A unique innovation is their adoption of the Fair’n Green standard, which integrates environmental, economic, and social sustainability into every aspect of wine production.

Domaines Vinsmoselle has eliminated insecticide use for over 15 years and uses no herbicides on one-third of its vineyards. They have replaced 40% of chemical fertilizers with natural alternatives and generate half of their electricity on-site, aiming for 75% soon. Their lighter packaging reduces energy and water use by up to 70%, and they plan to achieve full carbon neutrality within the next 5 to 10 years.
