Società Agricola La Raia s.s.

Green Practice

La Raia is a biodynamic estate spanning 180 hectares (including 50 hectares of vineyards, as well as woodlands, pastures, and arable land), certified by Demeter. The winery is built using rammed earth (pisé) and topped with a large 136 kWp photovoltaic system. Wastewater is treated through phytopurification, and rainwater is collected alongside the use of solar thermal panels. The estate promotes biodiversity through hedgerows, beekeeping, livestock, and the rotation of ancient grains.

Annual photovoltaic production: approx. 160,000 kWh Covers 90% of the winery’s energy needs CO₂ reduction of 85 tons per year (equivalent to 1,000 trees) 180 hectares of vineyards, woodlands, pastures, and arable land Rainwater harvesting for garden irrigation; wastewater treated through phytopurification
