We are excited to announce the publication and release of the first newsletter of the WINE project, an initiative co-funded by the European Union. This innovative project aims to promote sustainability and innovation in the wine and tourism sectors, addressing global challenges such as climate change and new market demands.

What Will You Find in This First Edition?

The December 2024 newsletter provides essential updates on the project’s progress and next steps. Among the highlights:

  1. Project Kick-off Meeting:
    The project officially began on March 13, 2024, with a meeting in Brussels. During the meeting, representatives of partners from Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, and Norway defined the strategic objectives and the operational plan for the first year of activities. Organized by the partner Coopération Bancaire pour l’Europe (CBE), this meeting was a crucial moment to align visions and goals among participants.
  2. Project Status Update:
    Partners are working intensively on analyzing the needs of wine producers and tourism operators to develop a comprehensive and innovative training course. This course, whose syllabus will be published in February 2025, includes several modules focusing on specific topics:

    • Climate change and the future of wine
    • Sustainable wine production
    • Wine tourism experiences
    • Marketing and storytelling
    • Digital and communication skills
    • Fundraising and networking

These modules will provide both practical and theoretical knowledge to support professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs in the wine and tourism sectors.

  1. Tools and Platforms:
    The WINE project will offer innovative resources, including:

    • An e-learning platform for autonomous and interactive training.
    • An interactive map to geolocate producers, wineries, and tourist routes, foster networking among various stakeholders in the sector.

Looking Ahead
With the syllabus set to be published in February 2025 and the launch of training activities, the WINE project is gearing up to provide concrete tools to tackle the challenges of global markets while promoting sustainability and enhancing local excellence.
