What has happened in recent months?
We are pleased to announce the publication of the third newsletter (October 2025) for the European WINE project (Innovative Network and Tourism Experiences’ Promotion). The project represents an innovative response to the challenges facing the wine and tourism sectors in Europe, aiming to promote sustainability, innovation, and local excellence.
Project Updates and Results
Over the past six months, the partnership has worked intensively to develop practical tools for industry professionals:
- E-learning and Training Platform: The online training program has been developed, enriched with resources, and equipped with user guidelines. The guidelines have been validated and translated into the partners’ languages. Both materials are now available on the project website.
- Interactive Map and Networking: Best practices for creating a visibility map of tourism experiences have been collected and verified in collaboration with wine producers. This interactive map will geolocate wineries and itineraries and will soon be available online along with search guidelines.
Third Meeting and LTTA Activities in Piedmont
From September 16 to 18, 2025, the consortium gathered in Italy, in Piedmont, for the Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) organized by Ciofs-FP PIEMONTE. During the meeting, the training modules uploaded to the platform were tested by participants through dedicated workshops to ensure a smooth and accessible learning experience.
The three days in Piedmont offered a complete immersion in wine tourism experiences, based on three pillars:
- Tradition: Visits to the new Ciofs-FP workshops in Nizza Monferrato, a sensory workshop on wine, a tour of an aeroponic greenhouse, and a visit to the Bersano Museum.
- Innovation: Training on agriculture and hospitality in Tortona, a visit to the Vigneti Repetto winery (with a Timorasso tasting), and a visit to the La Chiara winery (with a Gavi tasting).
- Quality: Hands-on sessions in Casale Monferrato, a masterclass on cheese and wine, and a concluding visit with a tasting at the Castello di Uviglie.
Next Stop
The final in-person meeting of the project will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, in January 2026. The main objective of this meeting will be to discuss the milestones achieved, review the results obtained, and officially conclude the project management phase.
